My Architectural plans are complete. Am I ready to start building my house?

No, architectural plans are just the first step. You will need a foundation plan and soil boring report to begin the process of building your home.

Do you accept plans from other engineers?

Of course! Just send your plans over to our drafting department by calling, or emailing us at plans@pptinc.org.

What is a Turn Key Foundation?

A Turn Key Foundation is a package priced to provide all items necessary to complete the project, from plans to completion. PPT will coordinate all aspects including, drafting, Site work, Piers, Post-Tension, Concrete Pumping, and Concrete Finishing. The package includes all materials, equipment, labor and supervision.

If I don't have my plans yet, but want an approximate price, can I still get a quote?

We do offer preliminary pricing based on square footage; however, this price often changes once the plans are finalized.

*Please be aware preliminary proposals are for budgetary purposes only.

What is Post Tension?

Post Tension is a method in which pre-stressed steel cables are arranged as indicated by the engineer, and run through the center of the slab. Once the concrete has hardened, the cables are then stressed, cut, and grouted to protect from corrosion.

What if I want to use rebar?

PPT also fabricates and cuts rebar to specific lengths for projects. We also provide installation.

What is the difference between helical and concrete piers?

Helical piers are solid steel screws, while concrete piers are supported with rebar and filled with concrete. Your engineer will determine which pier is right for you.

How long do plans take?

Plans can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks.

When are piers installed?

Piers are installed after the form has been laid, but before the plumber has completed.

When is Post Tension installed?

Post Tension is installed right before the concrete is poured. Only after the soil has been dug, graded, termite treated, and the poly has been laid can we begin to install the cables.
